Along with Lord Vishnu, Vaikuntha, the heaven of eternal delight, came down to our earthly existence in the highly holy house of Nanda, the chief of the cowherds. Oh! how the women of Vraja felt blessed and also the river Yamuna, bearing the bluish beauty of the Lord !
   It was the joy of love that manifested here in order to fulfil our Prayers; it was the dark-blue immortal glory of things for ever beautiful that became the Refuge of all; it was the fullest light of the inspired Vedas, sung for the enlightenment of the peoples of the world; Lo! it was the Divine, Shri Krishana, God of gods who had humanised Himself!
