Victory to you, O land of India !
           I bow to you
           And kiss your feet,
Victory, oh victory to the land of India!
First when on your laps I opened my eyes,
It is you who took me with infinite care
And bound my days with kindness and love, Victory, oh victory to the land of India!
Where knowledge was born
In mind and body you let me grow,
Teaching the path of self-sacrifice
And lit in my heart the undying Flame-
Victory, oh victory to you, O land of India!
To tune the many into one harmony
Thoughts of my interest I must keep away,
This truth you have taught my heart-
Victory-victory to you, O my dear land of India !
